What is it about comfort food that makes it sooo deliciously irresistible? I have come to the conclusion that butter is a drugged ingredient that when added to sweet treats or general food, makes it just so much more delightful… I love butter. It has to however be mixed with gloriously grainy, specs of sugar… My next favorite ingredient. Put any other thing in the mix and the results will with out a doubt be something that will fall in the comfort food category.
The other day, I made a batch of delectable blobs of chocolate, coconut, dates and oats…for dessert I made biscuit fudge. How deliciously glorious.
With the help of my girls and hubby, the lasted almost a day. They were just so addictively yummy.
I love comfort food, when the weather is gloomy I love to eat, and of course like all women I love to eat when I’m depressed and oh, then there is pms which requires lots of soothing sugary delights… Glorious to be a women with so many opportunities to explain away binging sessions of comfortly delectable delights. 🙂
So, seeing that today was a beautiful sunny winters day and I feel a little bit tired but not depressed and pms is not to come for a while, I decided that being the thoughtful person that I am, I would make another batch of comforting chocolatey gooey biscuit fudge and eat it on behalf of those that are finding themselves in any of the above mentioned moods.
