Little boy in a big shoe

There was a little boy who lived in a shoe
With a bunch of siblings and a mother that didn’t know what to do

She screamed and she shouted and made her husband mad
It made him a monster and all he did after that was bad

They drank and they shouted, and fought the whole night
The poor little James was filled with fright

He vowed and he promised to be a different dad
To love and cherish his kids and always make them glad

He has turned out perfect in every way
With kids that cherish him every single day

The cycle has been broken, there’s proof it can be done
So previously abused fathers have no excuses, not one
