How to catch a shooting star

I want to catch a shooting star and put it in my purse
I’ll wish for so many things, but not to be a nurse

If I could have one so close by
I’ll wish for wings to make me fly

If only I could go up to the star
Instead of waiting from afar

Maybe I could build a spaceship to fly up high
Or a tower of blocks that could reach up to the sky

I’ll gently take one that shines the brightest
Not too heavy, easy to fit, so the lightest

I’ll wash it and let it sleep in my bed
We’ll whisper secrets that I’ll treasure in my head

I’ll save all my wishes and waste not one
And gently put my star back as soon as I’m done
